BLURB:

Love Howard has more than a knack for matchmaking. Born from a forbidden passion and a twelve-hundred-year-old promise, she and her sisters can literally see true love. And while Love has no problem bringing other couples together, her own romantic life could use a little help.

Danton DeAngelo has always been well grounded in reality. So it throws him for no small loop when the woman he’s fallen for believes that she’s been reincarnated eleven times and can actually see true love.

Now Danton is faced with the biggest decision of his life. Accept Love for who she really is, or walk away from her forever.

MY REVIEW:

I very much enjoyed this book. The two main characters Love and Danton met at wedding that she Love ended up becoming apart of. This is when the two cross paths and Love realizes that Danton is her true love. It was well done being able to read how each character felt and what they were going through hand feeling as the relationship progressed.

There were several background characters that helped Love and Danton travel through their love relationship. Danton had to wrestle with Love’s past and figure out that true love conquers all. I look forward the rest of this series.

Author Interview- Lynda Coker

Happy Tuesday Readers!!
After a short mini summer break, I'm back at it with an author interview featuring
 TWRP author, Lynda Coker.

Welcome Lynda, tell me three words that describe yourself starting with A, B, and C.

(A) Adaptable   (B) Benevolent   (c) Creative

What are your three favorite things?

This one is really hard. I have so many lists, each with a most favorite at the top. :) But to narrow it down to three broad categories, they would be Family, Friends, and my community volunteer activity.

What for you is the best part of writing? What is the worst?

(A) My best part of writing is when: I’m in the zone and the words are flowing like hot syrup.
The characters are animated and ready to try whatever I put before them. There is no end to ideas and plot twists vying for my attention.

(B) The worst part of writing is when: Words refuse to form singularly, in short phrases, or in comprehensible sentences. My characters are lined up in battle formation and refuse my every command. My hollow brain will not produce a single original thought.

Will there be more books in your series, or can you tell us about any previous books?

In the near future: I am almost finished with a companion book to THE OCEAN BETWEEN. In this book entitled CROSSING THE CHASM, the story revolves around two characters first introduced in The Ocean Between, Jessica and Califar.

Currently: I’m in the last editorial stages of a new contemporary romance entitled STORMEE WATERS. This book’s release date is not yet set but I’m expecting to have a cover reveal in a few weeks.

What is the ultimate goal you have for your career?

My ultimate goal is to continue to enjoy the writing and publishing process as much as I do at the present. I want to produce stories that my fans will enjoy. Staying true to my own voice and perception of romantic fiction is very important to me and I am very appreciative that I have a publisher that allows me to do that and is loyally supportive of its authors.

BLURB:

THE OCEAN BETWEEN
by Lynda Coker

Between the skyscrapers of New York City and the ancient sands of the Middle Eastern nation of Ahalamin lies an uncharted ocean, not of water, but of culture and prejudice.
When financial executive, Victoria Ballard, is tricked into marriage with a Prince of the Desert, her perfectly designed life unravels. To put the pieces back together and claim the heart of a Prince, she’ll have to find a way to bridge The Ocean Between .

Excerpt:

Rashid took the stairs two at a time. Identifying the source of the problem did not take long...the
verbal tirade echoing through the lounge came from his private compartment at the rear of the plane.

“Let me out of here! I’m an American citizen and this is kidnapping. I’ll have you all arrested and
executed for this! I’m warning you, Califar. You tell that unscrupulous, deceitful, desert creep to get back
here and let me go!”

Rashid took a step forward and then paused. The sudden cessation of verbal ranting was more
unnerving than the previous clamor. The pregnant silence made the hairs on his arms stand erect. With
this woman, he was certain the calm was a precursor to worse atrocities. He hoped he was wrong and she
had exhausted her vile temper instead. The thud of a solid object slamming against the other side of the
door ridiculed his supposed control.

He yanked off  his robe and headdress. Slinging them toward the back of a chair, he barked a
command to his two bodyguards.

“Give the pilot orders to depart...NOW!”

Both went forward to deliver the message, almost jamming the small doorway in their attempt
to pass through at the same time. Consumed with his own anger, he could not find any humor in the
speed with which they fled one loud, but small woman. He wondered about the quality of his
personal security.

Spearing Califar with a glacial look, he motioned him forward. “You will ignore any sound
you hear from the other side of that door.Understood?”

“May I speak frankly?”

Rashid stiffened. “If you must.”

“This woman you’ve made your wife is a stranger to you and to our customs. These are
extreme circumstances for her. Despite her less than respectful manner, she is still deserving of the gentle
persuasion you always accord the women in your life.”

“Are you telling me how to treat my wife?” Rashid lashed in reply.

“As your servant...never,” replied Califar. “As your friend...I offer a reminder. Guard well your
actions this night and remember with what care you have always protected what is yours.”

“I will deal with the princess in whatever manner suits me,” growled Rashid.

*Sigh*, I feel like I have been to the desert and back. Coker definitely has the gift of putting the reader right in the scene. Her descriptions of the landscape and the people are most intriguing. I almost felt like a voyeur when Rashid and Victoria were. . . ahem, trying to sort out their differences. This is one lady who knows how to write a Love story with a capital L! Hot as the desert wind, sweet as the date cakes served with mint tea, this is one romance that will grab you by the heartstrings. I can almost guarantee that the ending of this book will make you teary-eyed but in a good way, of course. I loved it! Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down until the end. That earns it a 5***** rating.
